Trina walks with a little help from family

It all started when Steve decided to practice standing Trina up. Everyday, after her wheelchair stroll outside, Steve would stand her up to see how she would do. With minimal support she stood up straight and even moved her feet around. The nurses started to take notice of this and were very impressed with her progress. Everyone was confident that if she was standing and taking steps, she was ready to start physical therapy.

Trina was approved this week to begin physical therapy. Just the other day she walked about 50 feet with human assistance (usually mom or Staddio) as well as mom or Staddio also nearby for safety. Her brain is definitely putting the pieces back together and this is only the beginning! We have hope!
