We have done a lot with Katrina over the summer.  More pics soon 🙂  Unfortunately Trina’s grandma Betty was diagnosed with advanced stages of cancer and so July has been pulling family together to help both grandma and grandpa.  We did have one weekend free and so took Trina for the first time to Trinidad and took her to the beach.  We have a big bean bag chair and she and I sat together on it on the beach and it was just awesome.  A very peaceful atmosphere.  It was also our first time attempting to have her stay in a hotel room with us.  We had to pack the entire van up with bumbers for the bed, all of her pillows, meds, feeding tube materials, etc etc etc…wow – lots of work but worth it.  We also had to have a special bed that was lower to the ground for safety…but it all worked out.  Now, back to helping the fam and so a short message for July.

We also have to give a big thank you to Justin Arel (local attorney) who agreed to set up a Special Needs Trust for her at no cost.  We have wanted to set up a trust for some time….that way we can plan to have events for donations and have a safe place to secure that Trina can have the things that will make life easier for her.   By 8/15/12 the account listed herein via Pay Pal will go into her Special Needs Trust.
