Wow…I cannot believe August has come and gone.  Our August was FULL.  Poor little Trina and hubby Steve – we all had to go back and forth to Walnut Creek to help care for my parents.  I believe I have already stated that my mom – Trini’s grandma – has terminal cancer.  She has a feeding tube just like Trina so of course we were the family to go to the rescue with experience!  My step-dad is also deteriorating and struggling so much with the news of his bride having cancer, that his attitude has been tough on all.  Just imagine what all we have to pack up each time we go there for Trina’s MEDS, bed bumpers, diapers, feeding tube cans of food and so on and so forth…just to be able to keep her care consistent while helping the parents.  At any rate – again I say WOW what a month.  As we get in our 50’s and 60’s  our parents can start to get sick and so you just do what is RIGHT.  Thanks for the prayers.

In September on the 22nd Trina’s sister Carlyna is getting married in Seal Beach.  Trina will be dressed like a bridesmaid, though she can’t “really” participate.  One day if she ever gets back her cognition, we back her to see she was in the wedding!  We will also take Trina to Coronado to the hospital where she resided for one year basically bedridden.  Though still “vegetative” – she has made huge progress all the same and they will LOVE to see her.  Hope is contagious, right.  Especially in a sub-acute facility.
