September 2012

  September was full and amazing.

Some heartache still helping parents (Trina’s grandparents) that are very sick (terminal) on one hand…then on the other hand  a month filled with adventure, too.

1)  Trina’s sister was married in Seal Beach.  It was an amazing time and a fun wedding.  The setting was perfect. We dressed Trina as a bridesmaid.  She received so much stimulus – laugher, lots of touch from a whole crowd of people saying hi to us holding her on the dance floor.  I will be downloading photos soon that are incredible and you will all truly enjoy them…(time has been an enemy this month is my “why” they are late to be posted!)

2)  Next, we went to San Diego and took Trina back to the hospital she was at for a year.  Yes, we assured her it was only a visit!! (LOL).  And, our goal was to give hope as Trina was so happy that they were all very touched.  We saw many old friends and Trina’s old “roomies” that remain.

3)  During this trip, some extra excitment too.  We had a FLOOD in our HOTEL!  Yes, the City’s pipes exploded…water and mud!  We had to have 2 caregivers (ones we knew from the hospital days) to watch her so we could clean up and move to another hotel.  The bummer was she missed meds until we were re-set up and well, we are taking this issue up with the City!!  Strange times.

4)  We took Trina to Sea World and all the bright, big displays, events, etc. were great stimulus for her.  Lots of smiles.  Wonderful day – lots of pics forthcoming.

5)  The trip was extra hard due to the long drive (had to stop every couple/few hours to help Trina’s needs be met) and we had to pack the car to the hilt due to medical supplies BUT IT WAS AWESOME.  We learned that we CAN travel with Trina. We CAN stay in hotels and they can be set up like a hospital and it works!  So, we are planning more trips as I write!  All a matter of saving…saving…saving…to be able to go…go…go…   🙂

We are being blessed to FINALLY get to move back into our home that we own.  We almost lost it.  But as of Dec. 1 we will be back home…then we will handicap the bathroom soon.  We have lost a lot in the last 2 years as far as “material” items.  But those things don’t matter as much as people; family.  However, even though it is a material thing – we will just LOVE being back home with Trina.

Thanks for your continued prayers.

Blessing from Trina’s mom
