Why do we ask for donations occasionally? Because so much is not covered by Medicare, especially customized medical equipment and items to accommodate Trina’s flailing. Even if you can’t help, please pass her story on. Donations of any size are appreciated and always help. Every dollar makes a difference! Example: We have been trying for nearly a year to get approval for an EZ Stand for her. We have doctor letters, PT letters, etc all recommending it and giving orders for it and still the insurance companies turn it down. She has Medicare, then our insurance (NALC) as secondary and Medi-cal in third position and still all denying. This item costs thousands of dollars. We keep putting in appeals and pray they will eventually get approved. Cal-Able is a Trust Acct that can receive donations for her where her benefits will not be affected. That info is noted below.
