2 STEPS FORWARD, 3 BACK (PRAY !!!)

Many of you recently watched the awesome video of Trina standing and taking a few steps on her own (with Steve by her for close protection). We now realize that on that day she was over stimulated. We had a lot of family visiting and it was all just too much for her. So, Trina has temporarily withdrawn from the walking, etc. She just wants to rest. Please pray that she will heal soon! We appreciate each and every one of you.

    I have to believe trying to understand what will be the best course of action for Trina, every hour of every day, is a highly inexacting science. You don’t push her at all, she just stays in bed; you push a little too hard, she just stays in bed. Yet for a few magical minutes she DID walk around on her own. Can we say for certain that was a bad thing, as perhaps a term like “overstimulated” might suggest? Or is it actually necessary to push past the comfort level on a consistent basis, then allow recuperation, in order to slowly gain longterm improvement in the quality of her life? I honestly don’t know – I’m not sure anyone can know, for sure – but it would seem clear that the solo walking was a positive event, from the standpoint of trying to push her to improve her physical condition. I’m no doctor, but I stand and applaud you guys for all that you are doing for your beautiful daughter, and I encourage you to continue to mix the doctors advice with common sense, and what it is you feel in your heart, based on the overwhelming amount of time you are with her. Thank you for allowing others a glimpse into your lives…it is honestly heartbreaking, truly inspiring, and a source of God-given hope.

    I hope she dose start making the progress again and doesn’t stop here. I have seen how far she’s come and I’d hate for it to stop there. Trina has done so well I think that she just got to much that one weekend and needs a break now and two now she’s got this cold that will keep her in bed resting also. I’ll keep praying for her and all of you guys too, and don’t let it get you down.
