Hello Everyone… Well, it’s February already and we are finally moved and settled into our rental in Anderson. Moving with Trina is very difficult as we have to pay double rents so that the new home is completely ready for her once we move her. Then, you have these big deposits and rentals are not including a refrigerator… Wow. It’s a miracle to be done. But this is a larger home with more space for Trina, safer for Trina, and more outdoor area for us to have visitors too.
I still haven’t succeeded in uploading my hundreds of pics on my Samsung to the Mac so that I can share more here, so I apologize for no more recent new pics of Trina. I will say I am thankful that Brittany Hodges and Lexus Gettings both came over to visit Trina in the last week and hug her. She was full of smiles. Remember – many people want to come, say they will come and yet life is busy so really no one comes! Unless you had an able bodied child that became disabled and it changed everything in the blink of an eye – there is no way to even imagine how different life is. Most people just feel uncomfortable because they knew your child as she was before and it does not feel like it is doable. Trust me when I say that your mindset will change once you come over for Trina is so happy to see people and smile that it will bless you. You just have to view her as a young child, if not as young as a one year old … with that mindset you can embrace her and again I say, you will be blessed…. So, Trina’s friends out there please do not be shy.
We take Trina as often as possible to the Anderson River Park and push her around the park for miles in her wheelchair. It is healthy to be out in Nature. Mom is busy working on many projects to try to help Trina. I hope to have a Special Needs Trust done soon so that we can hold maybe concerts or sales, etc. to earn money for her to go to the Hyperbaric Chamber or have Acupuncture again. And, I am working with the Navy also on benefits due her (long story). You know, letting go of the past is doable and painful but necessary for healing, so please pray God continues to help me and my family be strong.
Each and every one of you is appreciated. Blessings and more updates and pics soon.
P.S. Just looking at Trina here in the chair – it’s hard to imagine that she is not cognitive. She moves a lot more lately so unfortunately she does not sit like this for long anymore (not safe)
… but my point is that she is not scary at all to see 🙂
