Sorry for the inconsistent posts. Life just gets busy…
Trina is a blessing every day. She has gotten pretty loud LOL, but we love that she has found a voice. She may not have words but she’s expressing herself all the same. And, her arms and legs are constantly going…again, we welcome movement, though it requires keeping her safe round the clock. Trina even began tucking her feet under her and catapulting into the air and backwards. Great exercise – the girl is strong! Not your normal patient in a hospital bed, so she requires customized equipment.
We recently had an unfortunate incident with her medical equipment company and had to find another one. This was a scary transition time. We just met with the new company and the gal that came for her evaluation was awesome – so we are thankful to be moving forward again.
We are still home bound most of the time. We have interviewed so many caregivers and a couple tried and quit, others want too much money per hour, and some just aren’t a fit. We would rather stay home all of the time than leave her with someone we are not comfortable with! We always have fun as a “trio” (me, Trina and dad). Though her biological dad passed away a couple decades ago (which is what started this downhill spiral into anorexia) – her stepdad adopted her in 2016 and he loves her as though he were his since birth. How blessed is Trina and how blessed am I? Thank you Lord!! More interviews start up next week…. Yay…
Well, have a blessed week everyone. For those who still check it – thank you for caring. Until next time…
Sandy, Trina’s mom
